A FEW WORDS FROM THIS YEAR'S PARTICIPANTS...

Greetings fellow hangover golfers,

Thank you all for taking my friends and I into your fold and making us welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed myself this weekend despite the delays and a touch of the wet stuff.

The true measure of my game is if I get at least one good shot in 18 holes it makes my game worth while. Case in point; Rivière rouge ninth hole -I’m on top of the ridge in four shots. I’m looking at the ravine between myself and the green. That’s when my deep shit sensor kicks in and I send four consecutive balls in the ravine. Well! as you can image I’m on the verge of loosing it, when I finally manage to get on over the deep shit, below the green and at the bottom of the ravine. By that time all I can think about was Pasi buying me a beer as soon as we get this hole over with. So I pull out my pitching wedge and shuffle on to my ball. I took the shot not really thinking about anything when I heard Dan O shouting “it’s going in, it’s going in”. I lifted my head and sure enough I couldn’t see my ball. So it turns out I got a 14 with 0 putts. And that, my friend, is good enough for me.

Looking forward to participating in future events.

-Deap Schitt
